National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark

National Food Institute (DTU-Food) is a research institute at the DTU with approx. 270 employees. The Insti-tute consists of six divisions: Food Chemistry, Industrial Food Research, Nutrition, Food Microbiology, Epide-miology & Microbial Genomics, and Toxicology & Risk Assessment. The Institute focuses on public health in relation to nutrition, food safety, environment and health. Activities include research, risk assessments, advisory to Danish, EU and international authorities and industry of food products throughout the food chain -from farm to table and the impact on human health. The institute monitors national food consumption patterns and food safety, and diagnostic services.
