Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Diagnostics of the General University Hospital and of The First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague is integrated educational, research and health care institution performing analyses in the fields of clinical biochemistry, haematology, microbiology, immunolo-gy and cytogenetics, involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and participating in se-lected scientific research projects. The major scientific activities cover the fields of novel diagnostic markers, molecular diagnostics of cancer, cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases, as well as oxidative stress-mediated conditions. Institute belongs to the premier research Institutes of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague.
